Manhattan
new this fall
to see the Manhattan in a room setting
Because a pool table is also a fine piece of furniture, it makes sense to turn to the leader in furniture design for a fresh look.
That's why Brunswick turned to Dennis Foley. He has spent 30 years designing innovative products for Herman Miller, Inc. and others, and now has delivered the dynamic Manhattan.
The table is striking in its extra-wide rails, cable trusses and stainless steel legs. To Dennis, the table focuses on the horizontal nature of the billiard playing field by emphasizing a broad, thin edged rail and a receding understructure to create a floating effect. "The pockets are concealed in the legs to eliminate visual distraction and to reinforce the horizontal form," Dennis explains. "The broad rail has a gentle curve that is ergonomically correct, invites touching and is comfortable to lean against. The large diameter stainless steel legs and aircraft cable reinforcements communicate a solidity that is expected from a top quality Brunswick table."
